Ok, whoa. Sorry about the whole "once a week" thing. I guess that didn't turn out too well... this summer has me so busy it's ridiculous! I'm even going to the beach for an entire week on in a few days! I really am sorry, though, and I'm really hoping I'll be able to update again somewhat soon!

Today was the day that we all had to go to different churches for Sunday service. All the crews (I wasn't on one since I was staff) will be going to their sites today while people like me would sort of hang out at the school after church. I end up going to the host church, which is also mine, and Kamryn and Cal go too.

Cal sits in a row across from me, so it makes it hard to look at him. I don't know why I anticipate seeing him so much, I just can't help it. He sits with Kamryn and all the other important people on staff. So not us 8.

Before the service begins, we hear that tonight is taco night. Uh oh. "Taco night" is not something the hospitality staff wants to hear. We will be cleaning toilets tonight.

Once the message was given, we go to the lobby-like area for lunch, Guess what it is? Leftovers. Chicken, potatoes, green beans, and what's left of the desserts from yesterday. But I don't really care, because honestly it still tastes just as good.

As the crews leave for their job sites, the staff has to go to the school to do work. To get there, I, along with Nicole, Kayla, and Annie, have to ride with Austin. But the ride wasn't too bad. We listened to music really loud with the windows down (except mine because it was broken).

Once we got there, Nicole had to help Kamryn with office work while everyone else did boring stuff, like cleaning bathrooms, cafeteria, showers, etc etc. Our day was in all honesty really boring until dinner. That's right, tacos.

By this time everyone came back so we at least had some people to talk to. I go to get my dinner and then go to the staff's usual table to find that the only available seat is right next to Cal! So of course I sat next to him. But there's a problem: he hardly eats anything! I felt like a cow next to him. Here I am shoving 2 tacos and a bucket of ice cream down my throat while he eats about half a taco and a cookie. That's it. And it's not just like he wasn't hungry that night, Kamryn says he always eats like that.

After dinner we all head to the auditorium for worship. Nothing particularly interesting happens. Oh, well Kayla trips over a chord that provides the words to the songs, so that's gone, but nothing really after that. Eventually the youth groups go to devotions, and while they do that Austin and I set up the sales table, which I think we sold one thing the first night. Ehh, I can't say I expected better.

We finish the sales table at 10:30, when everyone goes to bed. Kayla, Annie and I go to the office to help with the servemail messages while the others clean the cafeteria. Us 3 had sort of an unspoken pact that we wouldn't get involved with drama with each other. My sister had been really pissed since, like yesterday, and we don't really know why. She was being really rude and stuff so we just decided to avoid her. Which was fine by me, because she's always telling me what to do anyways.

This pact is actually really important because really the main goal of the week is to stay out of as much trouble as possible. Like last year, there was tons of drama I was able to witness and still not be a part of. On the second day, Annie took control of things and everyone was really pissed at her and ignored her, and when all us girls had to clean the showers together, she actually started crying and fought with Nicole for no apparent reason. What was I doing when this was going on? Sitting on the floor with Kayla, watching and trying our hardest not to burst in laughter. She was crying for being rude to us? Yeah, I know it doesn't sound funny, and it really wasn't, but the lack of sleep and all the stress had finally caught up to us. And it was only day 2.

In the office, we found Cal and Kamryn fighting, playfully of course. It was really funny though, because they kept making faces behind each other's back. I don't remember how exactly it came up, but I recall Cal saying he was sassy, probably imitating Kamryn. So from then on, we considered him to be sassy, even though I'm pretty sure he regretted ever saying that.

The rest of the staff came into the office to wait for our preparations of the servemail messages. Even Jacob came in, and while they were waiting they made nametags for all the staff. Dennis wrote on his "honey badger" and told Jacob that if something went wrong, he would flip it over from the side of his name to the "honey badger" side, implying that he didn't give a crap. This was an insider for the rest of the week.

After placing the servemail messages in the mailboxes, us girls took a much-needed shower and went to bed. This is when Nicole realized crocodilly was missing. Happy prank wars.
