our love was paper thin
too fragile, too delicate
easily crumpled
effortlessly ripped apart

but our love was still love (or was it really?)
it wasn't strong, but it was there
thin as paper, light as air
soft as cotton, smooth as silk

our love wasn't perfect
but it was shared, scribbled on a thin paper
and maybe my force was too strong
for my pen has stabbed through it

and what was left was a broken love
holed in, paper thin

(but you can't deny my love, love
it was written, it was there, paper thin)
