Sugarcoated
People choose comforting lies
Over constructive criticism.
People choose to fit in
When they were born to stand out.
People make the most cutting remarks,
Back-stabbing actions,
And brutal condemnation
Seem perfectly harmless.
Our world that is falling apart
Is covered up to seem innocent and pure.
People need to learn to
Recognize their mistakes,
Be respectful to other people,
And be the kind of person they want to meet.
Stop sugarcoating the truth
And live a life that supports other people.
