Life at the pond

The day was a nice day

All the ducks were out swimming

And the swans too

The birds were singing

And the people were there

The people with bread, who spread the happiness around

They danced and they sung until the sun went down.

But that was on the sunny side…

The day was dark and muddy

The ducks were hidden away

And the swans were too busy sleeping to come out and play

The birds were sleeping

And all was still.

The people there all had issues

Thoughts, problems

They were not happy, nor were they free

They were trapped

Alone

These were the people who wanted to

Die

The painful side of the pond…
