the weight of the backpack
heavy on your chest, there's
little air in this humidity,
torturously filtering each
breath, inhaling, exhaling,
walking without purpose
or a destination in mind,
meandering in a maze
forming in your brain,
squeezing meaning out
of the meaningless,
accumulating more
