Someone else read the words tonight
when my voice stumbled off in chase
of some dream, and they spoke
too loud, shaking the pages
in my hands, and I could not shut
them up.
I may have let the candle sit
in the corner of my room
for too long,
curling like a hand
and uncurling, in the darkness.
