Elexa, girl of mysteries and wonder. Well, that's who she was. She was a being similar to humans that was called the Poinentia. The Poinentia were humanoid creatures with above human intelligence. They thrived on knowledge and creativity, and were capable of truly using their minds. They could do simple tricks. Mind reading, telepathy, the like. But Elexa? She was something else. She was capable of using her mind to the extent of creating things with it. The gift of creation was called Elodia, and was a gift that was uncommon, but not particularly rare. What was rare was the extent of her abilities. She could create entire worlds, wipe people's memories and replace them. And this was exactly what she had done.
Megan walked down the hall at school, trying to act all happy and social. She wasn't succeeding. She finally reached her drama class and stepped inside. It was mostly empty, except for her friend Lindsey, her 'friend' Alice, and this guy named Joel who she was never sure if he was her friend or not. She walked in to them sitting around pretty much doing nothing. That was going to change.
"Oi" she said to Joel "Check this out" She chucked a ball at him, which he caught. He was on the lacrosse team. He tossed it back, but she didn't catch it. She was a bit uncoordinated. They continued for a little bit until the teacher, Mrs. Brune walked in. Megan hadn't noticed, though, and threw the ball again. It flew behind the stage, and Mrs. Brune glared at her for a minute. She put her hands behind her back.
"Did you throw that ball in MY theatre?" Megan looked around nervously, trying to figure out what to do. Suddenly, something appeared in her hand. She pulled it forward, and it was her ball. She looked at it wide-eyed for a little bit, before holding it out.
"No. It's right here" Alice, Lindsay, and Joel looked at her confused, but shook it off. She sat back down and waited for the other students to come.
"Alright, today we're doing improv. I need 4 volunteers" Megan raised her hand up high as fast as she could. Improv was her specialty. Chip, the best actor in class, also raised his hand, along with Alice and Joel. They got up on stage.
"Okay, in this improv, Alice and Chip are going to be a couple, and Megan and Joel will be as well" Joel shot Megan a disgusted look. Mrs. Brune continued. "Chip is cheating on Alice, and Megan and Joel know. At some point, Alice is going to need to go off-stage while Joel and Megan tell Chip that they know. Ready?" The four nodded. The two couples went to either side of stage. They came up to each other. They all greeted each other. Megan grabbed Alice
"Hey. Where did Chip take you last night?"
"Oh, he didn't. He had to go shopping for his mother"
"Oh. Did he?" She turned to Chip "What did you get your mother?"
"Oh, um, I couldn't find anything"
"Did you find anyone?" she asked back angrily. Alice looked confused.
"Uh, no. I was just shopping. Alone. All night"
"Oh. Ok. Well, I'm just going to get Alice some ice cream really quick. Come on, let's go." The two girls left the stage. Megan whispered to Alice "Okay, I'm going to go back out there. Come back out in a minute when we get him to 'confess'" She walked back out.
"Well, I know of this nice vacuum cleaner..." What were those boys talking about?
"Hello sweetie" Megan said. She tried to grab Joel's arm, and he ran away from her. She looked at him confused. At this point, Mrs. Brune stood up.
"I have no clue where that went. I don't know if anyone got this, but I don't get how we got on the topic of vacuum cleaners" Megan shook her head
"I have NO clue."
"Go ahead and come back down. Class is almost over" At that, the bell rang. Megan jumped off the stage. Lindsay started walking out of the theatre and Megan called to her. "Wait! Lindsay!" She ran after her
"Where's your book bag?"
"Oh, I must have left it-" Suddenly, she felt a weight on her back "on my back"
"Oh. Hey, how did you get the ball back earlier?" Lindsay asked her. Megan grasped for an answer.
"I just never threw it for real." What was up with her now?
