Chapter 1

She's dead, Scarlett knows it, but she doesn't want to believe it. Her sister is dead. They may not of been close but she knew everything about her. And that meant everything. Not even her best friends knew what her sister knew. "Scar? Are you coming?" Evelyn asked. "Huh, wha? O yea," Scarlett put the money on the table for her tea and grabbed her red Chloe leather jacket that was hanging at the back of her chair.
She followed her friends out to the car where she had to keep lying to her friends and go back to her house where she knew she would have to face her mom and dad, and join the wake for her sister. She wouldn't cry, because that would show she was weak, she wouldn't want to be known as weak. But she doesn't know if her hormones will let her not cry.
"So, tomorrow's the funeral?" Ashlynn asked knowing very well that she was talking about a very sensitive subject. "Yea," Breathed Scarlett, she looked out the window and swallowed the lump in her throat. "You girls have to come! I need the support," Scarlett told her friends. They all nodded and said 'We won't want you to go without support.'
The green bug pulled up to Scarlett's house and parked. "I don't want to go in there," Scarlett said. "You have to," Katie said. Scarlett got out and slammed the door. God she had to get her mood swings under control.

"Good you could make it," Scarlett's mother Jeanne said. "Mom, don't start with me," Scarlett said. Her mother heard a tire squeal out of the driveway. She quickly looked out to see Katie's car.
Scarlett went and took out her blackish/grayish skinny jeans and a black tank top. She put her hair up into a messy bun and looked at herself in the mirror. "God I am putting on weight," Scarlett murmured.
"Mom, where is," Scarlett started to yell but when she got to the bottom of the steps she seen someone she hasn't seen in 13 years…since she was three. "D-d-dad?" Scarlett stuttered. "Hello Scarlett," He said to her in a firm tone. She noticed that he had noticed and bump. "Father?" Scarlett asked. "Are you?" He asked. "What? Am I pregnant?" Scarlett asked. Her mother's face, priceless. "Yes, are you?" He asked. Scarlett stood there and was shocked that he noticed something so fast. "Scarlett, you did not have sex," Jeanne yelled. "Mom, please, I," Scarlett tried to get words out but couldn't. Scarlett had tears in her eyes and she looked at her father. "I'm so sorry," Scarlett ran and grabbed her keys to her blue sky active and ran to it and drove off.
She pressed the call button on her steering wheel and called Tony. "Ello?" Tony asked cheerfully. "Um, can I come over?" Scarlett asked. "What's wrong babe?" Tony asked sensing she was crying and she was the most strongest girls he knew and he knew if she was crying, something really, really bad happened. "I'll tell you when I get there," Scarlett said. "Okay, I'll see you when you get here," He said. "Bye," Scarlett said then hung up. She turned up the radio that was playing hand of time by Rachel Diggs.

Tony watched as the car pulled up. He opened the front door and when he seen her face he was shocked to see her eyes red and her cheeks puffy and tear stained from crying. "Scar, you okay?" Tony asked. He had no Idea about what was going on with her. "I got to tell you something," Scarlett said. "Okay, tell me," He told her. Scarlett took his hand and followed him into his room. "I, I'm Pregnant," Scarlett told him. Tony looked like he had seen a ghost when she told him. "How long have you've known?" Tony asked. She was relieved that he wasn't mad. "A few days," Scarlett replied. "How far along?" Tony asked. "I do not know, I got an appointment made for Monday," Scarlett said. "Can I come?" Tony asked. "You mean you want too?" Scarlett asked with a slight smile. "You know it," Tony said.
"Tony, I want you to, O, Hi Scarlett, I want you to take me to Jenny's," His little sister said. "Ask Mike," Tony said obviously annoyed by her.

"Stay away!" Katie yelled at him. "Why should I? Give me one good reason!" He asked. He had the killer look in her eyes and she knew that he would stop at nothing to have her. "Because, I will do anything for you," Katie lied. She was a really good at lying, always was. He seemed to watch her to see if she was lying, and he soon decided that she wasn't and grabbed her by the arm, then dragged her into the empty room that was less than 20 feet away from them. He threw her to the floor and walked away locking the door behind him.
"I'm doing this for you," Katie said in a hushed tone so The man behind the door wouldn't hear. Katie had no clue why she was here only that he was after one of the girls, specifically one with dyed velvet red hair, brown eye's, is 5'6 and weigh's 115 lbs. "Please find me," Katie whispered. She stood up and started to go over the room. She found a small hole leading outside, it was just big enough for her to fit through so she decided to try and get out of there tonight.

"Katie's not picking up!" Evelyn said to Ashlynn. She was now worried about Katie. She seemed strong on the outside but she would be dying on the inside. Plus she never left the house without her phone and she would never give up her phone unless it was pried from her dead body.
"She's fine, she is probably just taking a shower," suggested Ashlynn. She knew something was wrong but she wouldn't admit it. She was tired. She wanted to go to sleep now. Her, best friends' sister was murdered a few weeks ago and her funeral was just being hosted the next day and the killer wasn't caught. It was hard on them all. "I'm going to sleep," Ashlynn told her sister and went and turned off the lights and laid down on her double bed. "Night," Ashlynn said.
"Night," Evelyn replied and laid down. The memories still haunted her when she, Scarlett, Katie, Ashlynn and Carmen found Melissa's body. Scarlett just looked at it blankly, Katie screamed, She cried, and Ashlynn screamed along with Carmen. She hated that night. She had nightmares that night and every night after.

"I love you," Tony whispered to Scarlett. She looked shocked to hear him said it. She pushed herself you with her elbows a little and looked into his eyes. "I, I love you too," Scarlett said back seeing that he meant it. She leaned forward and pressed her lips to his softly. She pulled back and put her head on his chest and listened to his steady heart beat. "Want me to drive you home?" Tony asked. Scarlett nodded. "Mom and…" Scarlett was hesitate to say dad because Tony had a problems with him because of what he use to do, to her and Melissa. "Mom and Dad want to talk to you about," Scarlett said she gestured to her baby bump. He seemed a little angry at the sound of 'Dad' but he nodded. "I would've thought," Tony said. She untangled herself from him and got up. He got up and walked with her to her sky active.
Scarlett plugged in her Ipod touch and turned on the song Farewell By Rihanna. She hummed along to the music. When she remembered something. "She's gone forever isn't she?" Scarlett asked. "What?" Tony asked. "Melissa is gone forever," Scarlett said. He sadly nodded. "She was pregnant, you know. I," Scarlett tried to get the words out. "Melissa knew you were pregnant," Tony said. "Yea, she bought me the test a few days before she went missing and turned up dead. I only took it a few days ago though," Scarlett said and she noticed that they had pulled up to the house. There were 12 cars there. "You ready?" Tony asked. Scarlett nodded and got out. Tony took her hand when he got out and walked towards the door with her.
"You're back," George said. He gave Tony a sour look. He hated him. He's the only reason he got kicked out the house where is two daughters were and his now ex-wife. He hated him because he was with Scarlett. "Hello, Mr. Peterson," George said coldly.
"Dad, please," Scarlett said. Scarlett looked at him with the puppy dog eyes that she gave him when she wanted him to stop what he use to do to them. He nodded and she let out a sigh of relief. "We're about to start the wake," Jeanne said. They both nodded and took a seat next to them in the living room.
