InstruMENTAL
My brother plays both clarinet and saxophone; he is very talented at both of them, like everything else. However, he always seems to practice whenever I am trying to do something really important…
Like concentrate!
Up and down the notes go,
Scales time,
Scales time
On and off his fingers go
C, E,
D, F…
BANG! STOP!
Music everywhere
On the floor,
On his bed,
Books open,
Books shut,
Sheets just scattered around…
All goes quiet,
Except the rustling of pages.
But not for long…
Tune after tune, after tune, after tune…
Seemingly continual
Never ending.
Whilst, I try to write,
Distractions,
I hate them!
He needs to practice,
I get that,
He needs to do scales,
I get that,
He has an exam soon,
I KNOW!
But I can't help it,
If he
And his instruments
Drive me instruMENTAL…
Not just once,
But,
TWICE!
Because there are TWO
Instruments.
1 x clarinet
1 x saxophone
TWO instruments.
It's enough to drive anyone
Loopy,
But not me,
I am just instruMENTAL
With his instrument practices.
Totally driven
MENTAL!
Are you the same?
