Hey guys! Here is Chapter 14 of Planned Parenthood!
Please review, it really means a lot to me!
Enjoy :)
I couldn't speak. I just lay there, looking into my child's face. My child. Mason's child. No DNA test needed to prove what I already knew. The father of my child was not the smiling boy beside me, who comforted me, who encouraged me, and dealt with me crushing his fingers all through the birth, but my best friend; my best friend who wasn't even here to witness the birth of his son.
I looked at Drake. Drake had brown eyes. I looked down at my daughter. My daughter had blue eyes. Bright, sparkling, sapphire eyes exactly like her father's; exactly like Mason's.
"Why don't we let the new mommy have a minute alone with her daughter?" asked the nurse, ushering Odette, Skylar, and Derek from the room.
A minute after they were gone, my phone started to buzz. I picked it up and answered in a shaky voice.
"Hello?"
"Alex! Wow, you don't sound too good…must be getting close, huh?" It was Mason.
"Yeah, close to finding out who the father of my daughter is," I said, "Although I've got a feeling…"
"Aww, you had a baby girl without me?" he said in a whiny voice. I laughed at the irony in this statement.
"It's not my fault that you took too long," I said with a giggle.
"What's her name?"
"Uh…I…I haven't named her yet," I said.
"What if you named her Olivia, like the fake baby?" he asked. I'm glad that he picked out a name; a name he liked.
"That sounds great,"
"So how much does little Olivia look like Alex?"
"Well…she looks like…you know what? It would just be better for you to see for yourself," I said, my voice cracking.
"Okay, I just got to the island. I'll be there in about 10 minutes,"
"Alright, bye Mason,"
"Bye Alex," he said before the line went dead.
The nurse came back, followed my Odette, Skylar, and Drake. The nurse was carrying a piece of paper and a pen.
"Alexandria, I'll need you to sign here," she said, pointing to a line titled Birth Mother.
I signed the name, and then the nurse began to ask me some questions.
"What is her name?"
"Olivia,"
"What is her middle name?"
"Alice," I said quickly. That was Mason's mother's name. Odette and Skylar knew that too, they looked at each other with sly grins on their face. They knew that Drake wasn't the father, either.
Just then, Mason burst into the room and ran to my side, hugging me. When he turned around to look at Olivia, he knew. He looked back at me, raising his eyebrows, and I nodded, tears threating to spill over my eyes.
"You're just in time!" squeaked the nurse, "We just got the DNA test results back, and we know who the father is!"
I looked at Mason, he squeezed my hand.
"The father of baby Olivia is…"
My dark brown eyes locked onto Drake's cinnamon ones, and he had a hopeful glint in his eyes.
"Mason Aniston!"
