Chapter 11

The rest of Saturday went quietly we cooked burgers on the grill again, rented a couple movies ate popcorn and drank beer. Sunday we helped Tiph clean the house and straighten things up, Terry left around noon he and I saying our goodbyes with passionate kisses, Katy and Jason left soon after that leaving just Tiph Kevin and I, Tiph and I hugged with tears in our eyes, we both knew get-togethers such as this would become fewer and fewer, our lives move on. And we get busy with other things. I strapped my bag on my bike and waved to Tiph and Kevin as I pulled out of the driveway and slowly motored down the street, thoughts of the past few days heavy on my mind.

On the way home I stopped at the familiar welcome area where I remembered four girls standing around in the cold smoking, stopping with mom and dad on my first ride on the bike I was sitting on, how many times Terry and I had met here a lump formed in my throat and tears welled up in my eyes, I sat a moment longer then goosed the throttle and shot for home.
