Here is a poem I wrote in English! It is about chickens, mostly cause I have chickens at my house! They are adorable... but anyways, here is a poem about chickens! Read and review, please! Thanks!

The Chickens

When Dawn greets the sky with her fingers of red

A little brown hen pokes her head out of bed

Ruffling her feathers

To wake up her brood

The little brown hen goes looking for food.

With the sun meeting sky, peaceful and blue

Hear the proud rooster cry, "Cock-a-doodle-doo."

Preening his feathers

To show off his might

The barnyard his kingdom, from day unto night.

And as the moon rises, the little chicks peep

Their mother clucks softly, calling them to sleep

Herding them in

To bed where they lay

And the chickens sleep softly until the new day.
