~PART ONE~

Narrator:

Have you ever wondered if there was another hidden world? Well there is, it's located in New York City. In this world there are... different people. People who you might know. These different people live in a world close but far away from New York. You will learn their ways and daily life style, but with this comes sadness and drama. Are you willing to continue? If you are then by all means, continue.

Tiera:

Children, children settle down, we have work to do. We have a new student. I'd like to introduce you to Nuriah. Nuriah is joining us for the first time ever. She has just learned about our world. I expect you to all treat her with respect and possibly show her around the school. Nuriah, would you like to tell us a little bit about yourself?

Nuriah:

Hi, I'm Nuriah. I lived in New Jersey before moving to New York, I lived near Central Park which is how I stumbled across this place. My favorite color is green. I love to read, I have two pets, a cat named Geo and a turtle named Dover. My parents aren't like me...well I thought they were my parents. They recently told me that they had adopted me when I was young, they didn't know I was special, I don't blame them, I just wish I knew about this place earlier.

Tiera:

I'm sorry to hear that your maternity parents haven't been around. On the bright side, with any luck you might be able to find them if they stuck around here.

Nuriah:

Thanks but no thanks, they obviously didn't want anything to do with me so why luck for someone who doesn't love you?

[Awkward silence]

Tiera:

Alright class, begin the do now while I get miss Williams settled with a textbook and material.

Nuriah:

Thank you Ms...

[Tiera smiles]

Tiera:

Ms. Taylor but everyone calls me Tiera, I'm not much with formality.

[Tiera chuckles silently. Nuriah smiles]

Nuriah:

Thank you Ms. Tayl- I mean Tiera

[Tiera smiles sweetly at Nuriah]

Tiera:

Your welcome dear, now hears a textbook. You don't have to bring it to class. It's to be kept in your dorm room for when there's homework in it. Now get started on the do now and if you need help don't hesitate to ask a fellow student or myself.

[Nuriah starts working]

RRIIINNNGGG

[Tiera yells over the student's noise]

Tiera:

Okay students, your homework is to read pages 310-314 in your textbook and be ready to participate in class tomorrow. Goodbye!

Narrator:

Nuriah walked down the hallway looking for her next class. She was too busy looking at her schedule to notice someone standing in front of her buried deep in a book. That is until she bumps into him and their supplies fly out f their hands and all over the hallway floor.

Nuriah/Mortimyr:

I am so sorry!

Nuriah:

No no I'm sorry. I should've watched where I was going.

[Mortimyr spoke softly]

Mortimyr:

No. It was my fault I was reading while walking. I shouldn't have been doing that. Here, let me help you pick up your stuff. I am truly sorry.

Nuriah:

There's nothing to be sorry about, it was my fault.

[Mortimyr and Nuriah pick up their belongings]

Mortimyr:

I'd like to formally introduce myself; my name is Mortimyr from the water tower

Nuriah:

My name is Nuriah; I'm new here so I haven't been placed in a tower.

Mortimyr:

Oh, welcome to F.E.W.W. - Elements in training. I hope you like it here as much as the rest of us.

[Mortimyr smiles at Nuriah. Nuriah smiles back at Mortimyr]

Nuriah:

Thank you

Mortimyr:

You're welcome... uh if you don't mind me asking, what class do you have next, I have a free period and I wouldn't mind helping you look for your next class.

[Nuriah smiles at Mortimyr in relief]

Nuriah:

Thank you so much. I have math next.

Mortimyr:

Well you are you lucky gale because I was just heading that way to go to the water tower.

[Mortimyr and Nuriah walk along side each other]

Mortimyr:

So, how do you like F.E.W.W. so far?

Nuriah:

Well I haven't been here for a long period of time but it's good so far. But it's hard to find my classes in such a big school

Mortimyr:

You'll get use to it. After a while it doesn't seem so big. If you don't mind me asking, why have you started school now?

Narrator:

Nuriah told Mortimyr her reason of starting the school year now. While she was telling him he was slowly turning surprised with every word she said but hid it as well as he could so she wouldn't take it the wrong way.

Mortimyr:

Um... wow. If you want I'll try to explain the rules around here and how things work.

Nuriah:

I would love it if you would.

Mortimyr:

The headmistress is headmistress Silva, she's really nice, and she is the founder of this school. She thought that the only thing missing in the world was a school for the kids to learn how to control their power.

Nuriah:

Power?

Mortimyr:

Yes power, every student at this school as a power. We are element children. Everyone was brought to earth by mother earth but only a selected amount of kids were chosen to be element children by headmistress Silva. She is a seer; she has your fate planned out by the time you take your first breath of air. She is very powerful and is not one who you should cross. She knows every students name and adults so if you were to change your mind on looking for your

Maternity parents then you should go to her first before wandering around. There are four towers in this school, the fire tower, the earth tower, the wind tower and the water tower. Each teacher is assigned a tower. Tiera is assigned the earth tower since that's her element, Naia -the math teach- is assigned the water tower since that is her element, Nuriel -the science teacher- is assigned the fire tower since that's his element, and Noddyyn –the English teacher- is assigned the wind tower since that's his element. Each teacher's classroom is close to his or her assigned element. That's why I offered to show you to Naia's classroom since I'm going to my tower to read. Each tower has a limited amount of rooms so we all have roommates. The rooms are not co-ed so no needs to worry about that. As you go through the years in this school you'll learn how to control and master your power. We are not allowed to use our power unless there's a teacher to supervise it but when the teachers aren't looking we use it.

Narrator:

Mortimyr stops walking to look around the hallway. When he is satisfied with what he sees he holds out his hand and suddenly and ball of water is levitating over his hand. It's moving but stays in a spherical form, as if it were waves of water inside an invisible ball.

Nuriah:

Wow

[Mortimyr swipes his hand over the water and it's gone]

Mortimyr:

Yea, once you learn what your element is you'll be able to do it also.

Nuriah:

When do I get to know my element?

Mortimyr:

Well usually, when your parents bring you hear they already know your element but I guess you'll have to wait and see which element you're strongest at when we are training. We all have an element but we learn and train about the other ones though we're not as strong as our major element.

Nuriah:

Wow

[Mortimyr and Nuriah stop in front of a classroom]

Mortimyr:

Well here's Naia's classroom, and again, welcome to the school.

Nuriah:

Thank you

Mortimyr:

You're welcome

[Scene fades]

~PART TWO~

Narrator:

It's been half a year, in that time Nuriah turned fifteen and also learned that her element is fire. She found her parents, Era and Kennitt Anderson. Both parents were not excited on seeing their not-so lost daughter after they gave her away. Nuriah learns that she has two siblings, a brother named Dimitri and a sister named Nirvana bother are twins and are two years older than Nuriah. In school, there is a boy named Ayden -from the fire tower- who likes Nuriah but she doesn't like him. She likes Mortimyr, son after she confesses her feelings to him they start going out. Everyone looks down upon their relationship because it's not common for water and fire to mix as friends, let alone two being in a relationship. Her maternal parents don't approve of her choice so they forbade her from seeing him.

[Nuriah and her parents are arguing]

Nuriah:

YOU CAN'T DO THIS! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT IN TELLING ME WHO I CAN AND CANNOT GO OUT WITH! YOU LOST YOUR RIGHTS IN HAVING AN SAYING IN MY LIFE WHEN YOU GAVE ME UP!

Kennitt:

Do not speak to your mother and myself in that tone of voice young lady! We brought you into this world and what we say goes! You will break up with that boy immediately!

Nuriah:

We see about that.

Era:

You listen here! I will not have my daughter taint the family blood line because of a scummy water boy. You have already shamed us when you were born, you will not do it again! You're lucky we have taken you back into our home after being brought into this world when you were not wanted! If you do not follow our orders you leave us n choice but to take matters in our own hands. Now leave and clean up the mess you have made! After you do that you will get together with Ayden.

[Era points her chin upper ward arrogantly while Nuriah runs out of the room crying]

[Scene fades to Nuriah's room]

Nuriah:

Oh Geo, Dover, what do I do! I love him, I love Mortimyr. I don't want to hurt him. I hate Ayden! I hate my parents! I want to go back to New York!

[Nuriah cries harder. Geo walks over to Nuriah with Dover on him back]

Geo:

Meow

Nuriah:

Oh Geo, I think I know what I have to do. I would hate for my selfish parents to kill Mortimyr because their self absorbed and don't care about anyone else feelings except their selves and their two other kids.

[Nuriah starts to sing]

I was sitting on my doorstep,
I hung up the phone and it fell out of my hand,
But I knew I had to do it,
And he wouldn't understand,
So hard to see myself without him,
I felt a piece of my heart break,
But when you're standing at a crossroad,
There's a choice you gotta make.

I guess it's gonna have to hurt,
I guess I'm gonna have to cry,
And let go of some things I've loved,

[Scene fades to school]

[Nuriah sniffles]

Nuriah:

I'm sorry Mortimyr, we can longer see each other.

Mortimyr:

But why? Is it your parents? Look, I don't care what they say, I want to be with you Nuriah, only you. Please, please don't do this.

Nuriah:

It's not my parents.

[Nuriah struggles with her words]

Nuriah:

I no longer want to see you Mortimyr, I-I-I don't like you. I...I like someone else.

[Nuriah bows her head in shame]

Mortimyr:

What? Who?

Nuriah:

I-I-I-I-I-I like... Ayden

[Scene fades to the Music room. Mortimyr walks to the piano and sits on the bench. He starts to play a song]

Mortimyr:

You and I, right or wrong, there's no other one
After this time I spent alone
It's hard to believe that a man with sight could be so blind
Thinkin' 'bout the better times, must've been outta my mind
So I'm runnin' back to tell you

All that I'm after is a life full of laughter

[Mortimyr cries silently]

[Scene fades]

Narrator:

After Nuriah breaks up with Mortimyr, Ayden asks her out.

Ayden:

So, I hear that you love me. So what do you say? Want to go out with me?

Nuriah:

Not in this life time or any other life times Ayden. Just leave me alone.

[Nuriah tries to walk away. Ayden stands in her way]

Ayden:

No. Not until you agree to go out with me. I know your parents Nuriah. Don't make me tell them that you've been bad and haven't listened to what they said and are still with Mortimyr.

Nuriah:

You liar! I'm not going out with Mortimyr anymore. They won't believe you.

Ayden:

Are you sure? Who would they believe, the boy they love so much or you? Face it Nuriah, they don't

love you. They never have and never will. They want us to get married so keep the family blood line clean. You are worth nothing to them, just a girl that wasn't meant to be born. So why don't you make yourself worth something by going out with me. I won't tell them that you still love Davis

[Ayden says Davis in disgust]

Ayden:

If you marry me.

[Nuriah looks at Ayden with hate and disgust in her eyes]

Nuriah:

I will NEVER marry you! Not in a million years! Not even if you were the last human being on earth would I marry!

[Nuriah runs down the hallway]

Narrator:

As Nuriah runs she slows down and hears someone singing in the music room. She puts her ear to door and realizes that its Mortimyr singing. Her hurt breaks when she hears the song he's singing.

Mortimyr:

What am I supposed to do when the best part of me was always you,
And what am I supposed to say when I'm all choked up that you're ok
I'm falling to pieces, yeah,
I'm falling to pieces

They say bad things happen for a reason
But no wise words gonna stop the bleeding
Cos she's moved on while I'm still grieving
And when a heart breaks no it don't breakeven even... no

Narrator:

Nuriah runs to the fire tower but it stop by her best friend, Tera. Tera is an earth element. She met Nuriah in Naia class on the first day. They've been friends ever since. At lunch Tera, Nuriah, Tera's boyfriend Nodan –from the wind tower- and Mortimyr always sat with each other. But not anymore, now that Nuriah is forced to be with Ayden, Ayden forbade her from talking let alone sit with them. Ayden thinks that the fire element is the most powerful and strongest element and not worth sharing their presence with other less important elements.

Tera:

What's wrong? Why are you crying? Did that rat Ayden do something to you? I swear if he did I'll kill him.

Nuriah:

No, he didn't do anything. I just have something in my eyes.

Narrator:

But that wasn't the whole truth. Nuriah was crying because she still loved Mortimyr so much that it hurt to be without him.

~PART THREE~

Narrator:

For the past six months, Nuriah unwillingly dated Ayden so her selfish parents wouldn't kill Mortimyr. In those six months Ayden asked Nuriah to marry him but she refused each time. Ayden gave up in asking her so he took his problems to Nuriah's parents so they could deal with it.

Nuriah:

I said I would break up with Mortimyr and get together with Ayden but I never said I would marry him.

Kennitt:

YOU WILL DO AS WE SAY NURIAH! YOU WILL MARRY AYDEN!

Nuriah:

IN YOUR DREAMS! I refuse to marry! You cannot tell me what to do anymore! You are NOT my parents and you NEVER will be! I have put up with enough of your selfish acts! If you love him so much, YOU can go marry him yourselves but I will not! I am done staying here on the weekends. And I will not being using your surname any longer.

[Nuriah storms out of the room]

[Scene fades to Nuriah's room. Nuriah starts packing her stuff in a small suitcase. Scene fades to school]

Ayden:

You're what?

Nuriah:

I'm breaking up with you. I don't love you...I don't even like you and I never will.

Ayden:

I will tell your par-

Nuriah:

My what? My parents? I don't care what they say, I have disowned them. They are nothing to me like I am nothing to them. You can tell them anything you want but it is not going to change my mind. I'm tired of people thinking they can control me. Goodbye Ayden.

[Nuriah starts walking away when she hears Ayden scream behind her]

Ayden:

YOU'LL REGRET THIS! DO YOU HEAR ME! YOU'LL REGRET IT!

[Nuriah looks at him]

Nuriah:

No I won't.

[Nuriah continues walking down the hall]

[Scene fades]

~PART FOUR~

Narrator:

After two days of begging Mortimyr to take her back he finally does. She explains everything to him how they didn't love her and want her, that they were just using her, how she had to break up with him to save his life, how she never really loved Ayden and how she refused to marry him. After she finished Mortimyr was furious.

Mortimyr:

Why? Why wouldn't someone want you? You're perfect.

[Nuriah blushes]

Nuriah:

I wouldn't say I'm perfect. They didn't want me because they already had two kids before me. Each with their element. It brought shame to the family name having another kid.

Mortimyr:

That is not right. It's not fair that they made you do that. I'm sorry I didn't notice before.

Nuriah:

No Mortimyr, I'm sorry, you didn't know. I hurt your feelings. I should've fought for our relationship.

[Nuriah starts crying softly]

Mortimyr:

It's okay, don't cry. You were trying to protect me. I'm thankful that you care about me so much.

Nuriah:

It's because I love you, I love you Mortimyr.

Narrator:

This was a big shock to Mortimyr. They had never said it to each other but the feelings have always been there. After Mortimyr gets out of shock he smiles.

Mortimyr:

I love you to Nuriah. I love you sooooooooo much.

[Nuriah smiles. Mortimyr starts to sing]

Mortimyr:

One of the things that I want to say just aren't coming out right
I'm tripping on words
You've got my head spinning
I don't know where to go from here

'Cause it's you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to prove

And I don't know why, I can't keep my eyes off of you
