The other title i was going to use on this was Dear Jack, but i didnt want to sound like the movie Dear John, see the problem? Anyway, the poem is kind of a final say for me, after being with someone who i cared very deeply for and after the tears and the pain and the bitterness fades, and he's still in your life, and there is still things unsaid, what do you do then?

If I could write a letter to you,
How would I start,
Now that all the hurt is through?
Would I say every hateful thing
That entered my mind?
Tell you about every other guy
I've thought of since we said good bye?
Would I let you know about all those
Sleepless nights?
When all I did was cry?
When I gave up the fight,
Got out your picture and
Held it tight.
If I wrote a letter to you,
What would I say?
To try and explain,
Why I always turn away
And never look at your face?
Can I make you see?
I'm finally at peace.
I think I'm where I need to be.
This road hasn't been easy.
It was full of drops, holes, and curves.
To say the least,
It's been bumpy.
But, dare I say, sometimes,
I'm even happy.
If I sent a letter to you,
I'd send it with good wishes
From a girl who misses
Her best friend,
But maybe
Someone else needed you
More than me
Needed to have you
Strong and steady.
And so that's ok,
I've said what
I think I'd say,
If I wrote a letter to you.
