Dad wanted a cat
of his very own,
a big ball of fluff,
he wanted one so much.
So we went to a shelter,
and looked through the cats,
none were quite right,
so we went home.
Then we got called,
by a lady named Sue,
her pretty Maine Coon
had a litter of 6,
the cats were still kittens,
but big enough to leave home.
We looked at them all,
and I wanted Cinnamon,
the nicest of all,
but Mama and Daddy
fell in love with Garfield!
So Garfield it was,
though the name'd never work.
We fretted all night,
till I got an idea.
Why not call him Loki?
God of all mischief,
because that's what this cat
is best at.
