Peace of mind

I hear the sound of rushing water,

deep within my brain

I hear the wind sigh and the skies utter;

be still, have peace, be calm again.

The whispers overshadow,

the turmoil on the outside.

As they protect and watch over,

the silence of my mind.

And as they allow nothing,

to disrupt my contentment within;

the storm rages violently,

but the dark clouds don't get in.
