Tombstone Tom

One day my BFF, Carla, and I were joking around about how it would be funny to get a fake tombstone with Tom's name on it to give him a good scare. He was a real jerk. Anyway, we had a lot of fun with it. Then I decided to make a poem about it. It was written on 11/15/95.

"Tombstone Tom"

So how did you feel

when you saw your fate

your tombstone above your bed?

There it read, engraved in stone,

your name and date of death.

Just one more day,

one day to live

all because I can.

To watch you squirm

and rock your world

get to the bitch inside the man.

Describe the fear, that helpless plea

for one more chance to live.

Beggin' for mercy, though unworthy

crying, please take someone else instead.

There you were

crumbled to your knees

consumed in righteous prayer.

A hypocrite that never prayed before

I deny your life be spared.

So now that you're dead, by my hands

do you regret any pain you've caused?

Probably not, but that's o.k.

'cause in the end Tom's dead and gone.
