This is the first piece of the third part of the English project, an edited version of the poem, though not much changed really. Told from my grandfather's point of view about his wife. The introduction for this section is posted with Babysitting Gma.

This is the edited version of the poem I wrote last fall for a class. I hope I've polished it some and I hope it's better for it. Please, if you feel the urge and even if you don't, leave me a note to tell me what you think. Thanks.
A Child Again
Have you ever loved?
So completely…
So…eternally?
.
Have you ever lived?
Day after day,
With that love nestled deep inside your chest?
.
Have your dreams ever come true?
The one destined to be yours…
Was…yours.
.
I have loved…
As completely and eternally
As was ever humanly possible.
.
I have lived.
Every day
Since that blessed day
With a love so profound.
.
My dreams came true!
She was mine!
IS mine!
And I hers…
.
We loved each other,
We lived our lives,
We saw our dreams become reality.
.
Now…now I feel as though I have lost her.
We love still.
We live still.
But no longer can we dream.
.
She's a child again.
Who would have imagined…
That this would happen to her.
Her…of all people.
.
Nothing is the same.
Our love is a memory, forgotten.
Our lives, not our own.
.
Anger is here.
Anger that never was.
Needless pain.
I cry myself to sleep.
.
Before this trial,
There was so much.
There was…so much.
.
She was an angel in the night.
She lived her life right.
She smiled and prayed.
She believed.
.
She sang with the most beautiful voice.
She loved with all she had.
She could turn the darkest of all
Into light.
.
She's a child again.
Who would have imagined…
That this would happen to her.
Her…of all people.
