A+ A- |
Amorra
Lay out the pieces.
Black and white,
define this checkered pattern.
My troops loud,
in sync strategies.
Your pawns delicate,
surprise a charm.
.~.~.~.~.
Under the battle ground,
chocking you with purpose.
Too old to be deceived.
Strength of no resistance-
slow, I know not.
Such a small frame
begs to be tamed.
.~.~.~.~.
In the shadow of blood-lust,
eyes able to tear into the layers.
Black curtain tresses, your veil.
Feather-light, hardly called touch.
Smooth flesh
you command me to bruise.
.~.~.~.~.
He moves as a whisper,
every possibility sketched
in fading ink.
A fire ablaze when inside her.
She flows as a song,
taking each current to advantage.
Softened earth
to be molded in his clutches.
.~.~.~.~.
Ignorant children partaking
in games of ambiguity.
Hearts meant to be abandoned,
these nights were meant to be
bullets to the head.
''All's fair in love and war.''
Spoken as separate eras.
What if one in the same?
.~.~.~.~.
One declares a check mate.
The other overturns the table.
A million and one shades of gray.
Fly. Spill. Scatter. Still. Forgotten.
Bodies lock in positions: familiar.
Spirits rejoice at the union: sacred.
.~.~.~.~.
Tools of manipulation, he preached.
Luring for secrets, she claimed.
Souls are not meant
to fight their ways through war.
The terrorist,
the messiah,
the world your checkered ground.
Author's Note: I was a bit reluctant to post this mostly because this is the first time I've written something like this. Most of my stuff is pretty dark but I have never incorporated romance. I'm really proud of this but still apprehensive of what others may think.
For those of you know what the title means, the story paired with this is on the sister sight. My penname is the same.
