Underground Secret

-Rachel's POV-

"come on!" Kat whispered.

I followed her quietly, trying desperately not to wake anyone. We met Kats sisters Chisami, Anna and Lexe right outside what Kat called ' the special wall'. Chisami moved a tapestry aside and Kat slammed her hand against a certain brick and a passageway opened up.

Inside their where 5 long black cloaks and we each grabbed one and put them on over our outfits. I still didn't understand what we where even doing or where we where going. Just half an hour ago I had been sleeping until Kat woke me up dressed in a black dress with stripy pieces of material on her arms from her wrists nearly to her shoulders. She also had heeled black boots on. She forced me to get changed in a blue dress with flats before dragging me out and tiptoeing down the corridors being careful not to wake her parents.

I shook my head as a bright light shined at our faces, Kat put down her hood and said," Underground!" The robot nodded, stepped aside and moved the torch out of our faces. Lexe grabbed all our cloaks and put them on a hook marked ' Lightning'. Kat pressed a button and a small room with lots of seatbelts opened." what is this?" I asked Chisami nervously as Kat buckled me in using at least 10 seatbelts. " think of it as a rocket teleporter pod" Chisami replied. I gulped. When everyone was strapped in Kat reached across to a panel and pressed the one marked 'M.C' " Mini club' lexe chipped in when she saw me staring at it.

"Hold on" Anna shrieked.
The 'pod' shot across a tunnel at lighting speed. Anna and I were screaming for our lives, while Chisami, Lexe and Kat where all shrieking with delight. "Woohoo!" Lexe screamed as we felt the speed increase.
Suddenly we jerked to a halt and Kats brothers, Robert,Draco,Morris and Narumi climbed ln and strapped themselves in leaving only one more seat. "thanks for waiting for us " Draco said sarcastically to Kat who shrugged and looked at him with a look that said 'do you really believe I'd do that?' Robert rolled his eyes at his sister as we started picking up speed kept telling her off though, "we had to take the public pod!" he whined. " it was squishy ! And my hair got ruined!" he complained. Robert sighed," yea Draco! The whole world will just come crashing down if your hair isn't right!" " He was being a complete twit!" Robert said to Kat. " what else is new?" She sighed and they both gave him looks that said ' so disappointing.. Tut tut...' Chisami giggled at the way Draco went ,"whaaaaaat?"

" Where are we?" I asked Kat between screams. "underneath the city, there's a special place for teens and kids, built by Jennifer our older sister as a secret from all adults, wait till we get there, you'll love it! It's only for our family and guests though." she answered. Wow, she sure had a LOT of siblings.

" we're picking her up too" Draco said before glaring at Morris who was poking him. "were dropping the little ones off at the M.M.C before going to ours." Kat added

By little ones she was referring to Anna, Morris and Chisami who were all 10 years old. Draco and Kat were twins 14 yrs old. Lexe was 13 and Narumi was 15. I'm 14.

Suddenly we jerked to a halt and Jennifer climbed in. She looked like she was 23, but she was actually 21. She smiled at everyone and buckled herself in before we went off again.

2 minutes later 'the little ones' where climbing out promising Kat they'd be done by 2:00, and yes I mean A.M. Most adults wonder why kids sleep in so much, well this is the real reason!

Kat gasped and held onto my arm, " I hate this bit" she squeaked before screaming as our 'pod' just dropped out of the air!. It eventually stopped and we all climbed out. As I looked around I saw other people in Kat's family from the ages 12-29 climbing out of their pods. "2:00am we meet back here or I call out over the loudspeaker and humiliate you" Jennifer threatened Draco who once got himself 'lost' until 4:00am or so kat says.,before waving at everyone else and running off to join her cousin Juliet.

Kat and Draco pulled me up to a microphone and Kat grabbed it and announced,"Hi everyone! Thanks so much for joining us tonight for Lexes 14th Birthday! Thankyou to the people who travelled a long way! We even have some people from Queensland and Brisbane! And some from Leeton, which is in WoggaWogga! Please enjoy the party and have fun! First can we please have a clap for Lexe!" Everyone clapped and there were a few whistles, Lexe blushed and waved back. Draco grabbed the mic off Kat," Also we have a special guest! This is Rachel, Kats best friend! We have the privilege of her doing a song later tonight for us too! Ps. Tonight we live on the dance floor!" he finished.

"Really?" Kat asked him.

Music started playing and I recognized the song. Kat tapped a microphone and Draco started playing the electric gituar, with Robert on the drums. I stepped off the stage to watch her preform. Narumi climbed on stage with a microphone and announced the song. " Our first song is Crowded by Jeannie Orgeata!"

"Jeannie Ortega, Papoose
Imma show you how it's supposed to be done, uh" Narumi sang.

"Don't get me started, it's getting kinda crowded in here

They finished with their backs against each other as applause started up. Kat grinned at me as she and her brothers jumped off the stage and did that weird group fist bump thing.

Suddenly 3 boys walked into the room and yelled, "Hey Kat!"
She gulped and whispered something to Draco, before climbing back onto the stage.
She held the microphone and blew a kiss towards the group of boys.

Then she smiled at the boys and jumped off and started laughing at the looks on their faces with Narumi. Kat and Draco ran up to me and said at the exact same time, "what song to you want to do?" They glared at each other " Stop copying me!" they turned back at the same time then glared and attempted to punch the other one but matched their moves exactly so it didn't do anything. I started laughing and they stared at me with a confused expression.

" what's so funny?" They asked.

"You're so childish guys! " I laughed.

They came closer,"Really?"

"yea."

They came even closer."really?"

I started laughing harder as they started tickling me.

They eventually stopped and put an arm around each others shoulders and said in usion,"We know, we know"

"sooooo..." Draco started.

"what song?" Kat chipped in.

"do you want to do?" Draco finished.

"Dance again?"Narumi asked.

"sure" I said as the twins glared at him.

"hey!" Kat said.

" you interrupted our game!" Draco finished.

"Come on! You're up next!" Kat said as the twins dragged me up to the stage.

Robert handed me a microphone as some lyrics came up on a screen on the opposite side of the music started and I held the microphone up, but before I could
begin singing, there was a loud crash at the other side of the room.

Everyone's heads turned as a boy and a man walked in as they walked past everyone dropped to their knees. I was amazed at the fact that the twins did too. Normally they wouldn't 'lower themselves to that level' The boy stared at me and I dropped to my knees to. He nodded at me then turned to Kat and made her stand up by putting a hand under her chin and lifted it up. She stood stiffly as he hugged her. I could see all her brothers glare at the boy glared at Narumi, "you!" he hissed. Looking at dracos face I could tell he wanted to kill him but I had no idea why. Looking across the room I could see the exact same thing happening to Jennifer, with her cousin Juliet glaring at the man which I guessed was the boys father.

The boy lead Kat to a chair as the music started up again for me to sing to and forced her to sit on his lap,which she did, mouthing 'Help me' to me.

I once again held up the microphone as the music started.

As I finished i could see the boy handing a glass of what looked like coke to Kat. She drank it and mouthed, 'Help' to me as the glass dropped from her hand and she tumbled off the chair and collapsed on the hard floor. Draco glared but didn't move, I started to run towards her but I got stopped by Narumi, "you really don't want to do that"

"yeah I do" I said and kept running towards her.

I gasped when I saw her close up her body looked like it had crumpled. "WHAT ON EARTH DID YOU DO TO HER?" I yelled at the boy who was simply watching her. I heard gasps at my outburst.
Robert ran in front of me, "I'm sorry sir, she didnt mean it."

"so she's yours?" He asked.

"yes sir" He replied.

"so you'd be willing to make amends for her?" He questioned.

"yes sir" He replied.

He smiled creepily. "please prove that she's yours"

"yes" He replied.

He turned around to face me and whispered,"shes alright don't worry and I'm sorry"
I started to whisper back "sorry for what?" when he suddenly kissed me.

I stood frozen in shock until he pulled away.

The boy nodded and someone who looked like a bodyguard came forward and started to march Robert away to a small room.

"STOP!" Someone yelled.

I gasped as I realized it was Kat who called out. "please don't" She asked the boy. She hung her head and whispered,"I'll do..anything"

He smiled and motioned to the bodyguard to release robert.
He stood up and pulled her out of the room. As soon as he was out of sight Draco slammed his hand down into the concrete ground -Actually cracking it!

"I hate him!" He said so darkly it scared was standing in uncomfortable silence for a few minutes.

Kat suddenly re-entered the room and walked slowly towards Draco and me.

She suddenly stopped and started falling backwards. Draco ran and dived and managed to catch her before her head hit the ground.

Draco picked her up and Jennifer and Juliet ran forward with a blanket each.
Juliet spread hers over the edge of the stage and as Draco lay his twin sister down Jennifer covered the lower half of Kats body with a blanket.

She opened her eyes and Draco immediately asked,"What did he do?"

"usual. He shot arrows at me and made me try to avoid them." She replied.

I saw blood seeping out of her arm."REAL ARROWS! LESS THAN A MINUTE AFTER YOU WERE UNCONSCIOUS? " I shrieked.

"yeah" She said tiredly.

"why would h-" I started.

"Let's just say he has a twisted mind. The only reason everyone does what he says is because he is the head of the family's son. He likes Kat because she's the next head." Narumi explained.

"why doesn't he like you?" I asked remembering when he hissed at Narumi.

"It's because I'm adopted." Narumi explained.

"and it's completely ridiculous" Kat and Draco said furiously.

" oh that reminds me, Robert?" Kat asked.

"yeah what?" He replied.

"Im gonna kill you for kissing my best friend less than 30cm in front of me." She said smiling as Jennifer's, Narumi's and Dracos mouths all dropped.

"What?" They all screamed at Robert as I blushed about 90 different shades of red.

"you're evil, ya know that?" I asked Kat.

"oh I know, but this will get him back for switching my shampoo with honey and shaving cream." She replied smugly, watching as they all told him off.

I suddenly groaned and opened my eyes, only to see the twins,Robert and that boy bending over me.

He held out a hand to help me up, "Are you alright?"
"yes, but what happened?" I asked rubbing a newly-found bump on my forehead.
"well, when jake came into the room something hit the wall and a piece of the wall knocked you out before you could start the song. Thanks a lot jake." she said before sticking her tongue out at the boy. He stuck his out in rolled his eyes at them.

" How are you feeling?" Robert asked me.

" Alright but a little dizzy" I replied as some of the room started to spin.

"What did you dream about?" Kat suddenly asked.
Robert gave her a look that said 'was her dream really that important?'

"it was really weird" I said.
