Silence

Silence is easy

No words need to be said

But it doesn't take away fear

It spreads it instead

Silence is closure

You feel alone

It's blocked communication

In a broken home

Silence is dangerous

The calm before a storm

It carries a hidden message

And leaves you scared, forlorn

Silence is a barrier

It loves to separate

It makes you put up your stone walls

Love can't penetrate

Silence is a merry-go-ride

Your trapped, you can't get out

As you put on your fake smile

You have to sit it out

Silence is a hollow hole

It's nothing in itself

If I could only get these words out

Your frozen heart would melt

In a broken home

Silence is dangerous

The calm before a storm

It carries a hidden message

And leaves you scared, forlorn

Silence is a barrier

It loves to separate

It makes you put up your stone walls

Love can't penetrate

Silence is a merry-go-ride

Your trapped, you can't get out

As you put on your fake smile

You have to sit it out

Silence is a hollow hole

It's nothing in itself

If I could only get these words out

Your frozen heart would melt
