A Place Where I Belong
Where do I stand?
I look around,
Taking in all the places I've been.
Each one seems . . .
Wrong.
Never really fitting in,
Always hopping from one place to the next.
Lost friends and broken hearts follow me,
Await for me,
Surround me constantly.
What happened to talking non-stop all the time?
Not a word to each other now . . .
We walk past like there was nothing at all,
And deep down it's what hurts the most.
Don't catch me,
And prete4nd to care,
If you'll just drop me again.
Meaningless promises are more than just empty words,
In my eyes, anyways.
Tell me when you want me to leave,
And don't forget to tell me where,
Because I'm really dying for a place where I should belong.
