My Idol's Iambic Pentameter
September 27th, 2011
Iambic pentameter format is 14 lines (Three groups of four lines, and one couplet at the end). 5 beats per line. ABAB format.
I call your name; My countenance perks up
Your perfect turn, grace me with your approach
I should stop staring. Oh, that might be rough
Can you tell I think about you the most?
You are like a God, but human instead
You own such perfection; I see no flaws
Releasing the creations from my head
Your critique is the world; your word is law
Your work, to me... superior to all
Still, you can find kindness inside to lend
My dream? To answer with help at your call
I'll follow you through to our journey's end
Eyes sparkle brightly, feet just graze the floor
Don't turn away; you'll miss The Holy Lord
