The alarm clock blared loudly at the sign of the morning light and Luke rubbed his eyes, groaning in annoyance. He glanced over to the clock, hoping maybe it had malfunctioned, but of course, it was right on schedule and it was time for his daily commute. Flopping his head back onto the pillow, Luke groaned and slapped Tony in the face, "Dude, get up. It's time to get to work."
Tony gurgled and grabbed Luke's hand, spilling a bit of drool onto it. Luke shot up and tore his hand away, falling out of the bed from the giant pool. His head slammed against the end table and his butt hit the bottom of the floor with a loud thump. Luke growled and slowly pushed himself back up, rubbing his head. Tony seemed to wake up and turned towards him but not leaving the bed, "What happened?"
"Dude, it's time to go to work," Luke snarled, flicking his hand to and the fro, trying to get the slobber off.
But, instead of complying with Luke, Tony lay back down on his back and yawned, "Nah."
Luke's eye twitched in annoyance, "What do you mean, 'Nah'?"
"'Nah', as in I'm not going to work today. I think I'm going to sleep in today."
"You can't! You have a company to run; you can't just decide when you want to go or not," Luke massaged his temples with the tip of his finders.
Tony flipped towards Luke and whimpered, "Come on! Please! Just this once."
Luke stared at him for a moment, before turning around to dig in the closet, "Give me 12 good reasons why I should leave you here?"
"Well, firstly, I don't have to go to work if I stay in bed!" Tony replied, flopping down in the bed.
"Really?" Luke said mockingly. He walked over and patted Tony on the head, "And why is that a good reason?"
Touching his chin with a wistful expression, Tony thought for a moment. Then he brightened and quickly replied, "All work and no play makes Tony a dull boy."
"And this is a good reason, why?"
"Well, if I was dull, I wouldn't be good in bed! You wouldn't want that, would you?"
Luke's face darkened into a burnt red, "Shut up! I told you, while I was moving in, I left my bed unattended and a thief stole it, okay? Once I can afford a new bed I won't stay with you anymore!"
Tony pouted, "But I like you in my bed."
"2nd reason!" Luke flipped away, his face red in embarrassment.
"It's really hot outside and I don't feel like walking through that excruciating heat," Tony said as he watched Luke enter the bathroom.
There was silence for a moment before Tony glanced further in, "Are you going to ask why that is a good reason?"
"No, that is a perfect reason. This heat does suck."
Tony smiled in triumph, "Thirdly, I'm tired!"
"Maybe you shouldn't stay up watching reruns of Dr. Who next time"
"Hey, Dr. Who reruns are always stay up all night material!" Tony defended, pulling a blanket up to his chin, "Besides, you stayed up just as late, aren't you tired?"
"Of course, but I have this thing called responsibility," Luke snorted.
"The only responsibility you have is to listen to my orders and I order you to let me stay in bed!"
"My order is to make sure you get out of bed. Hurry up and give me another reason before I drag you out of the bed," yelled Luke as he brushed his teeth harder.
Tony paused for a moment, already losing momentum in his list. Luke poked his head out of the door, ready to gloat before Tony hurriedly said, "I need my beauty sleep."
A loud, ungraceful snort came from the bathroom and a loud chortling later. A rush of water and Luke spoke between laughs, "Really? Well I don't think its working!"
"Of course it isn't! That's why I need some; this 3-4 hour naps aren't cutting it! I need some actual sleep!" Tony whined from the bed, kicking his feet into the air.
"I'll give you that one; anything to turn that ugly mug into a pretty picture!" Luke laughed, coming out of the bathroom and opened the closet door.
"No one will come in here and yell at me for doing something wrong..." Tony mumbled from his bed, pulling his knees up to his chin.
Luke glanced at a navy suit before looking at a grey one, trying to decide which one to wear, "Except for me."
"Yeah but you're not important! Moving on, seventh-ly when I wak-" Luke interrupted as he pulled the navy suit out from the closet, "We're on the sixth reason, Tony."
Tony rolled his eyes, "Sixth-ly" he emphasized, "The next time I wake up and move around, I'll feel more refreshed and prepared to handle the world. Waking up this early doesn't do any good for my prestige intellect"
"Clearly not," Luke said as he took struggled out of his grey tang-top.
Tony watched as Luke thrashed about, his shirt stuck on his elbows. And as Luke flailed wildly, his patience seemed to wear thin by the second, "I don't have time for you to think about a reason, hurry up or you're getting up!"
Tony climbed out of the sheets and crawled over the bed towards Luke and pulled him close. At a reasonable distance, Tony helped the top off of Luke and whispered in his ear, "Who cares?"
Luke was already use to Tony's help in getting his shirt off, so he ignored the urge to thank him, "The people at work care."
"But they're not important," Tony flopped back into the bed, just glancing up at Luke at intervals.
As Luke buttoned up his white shirt, his fingers fumbled, "I care."
Tony sat up for a moment and looked at Luke and gave him a disbelieving look, "You do? Well, I never! I knew you loved me!" and he rushed up to get a hug, but Luke pushed him away.
"Scratch that, what did you say you're eighth reason is?" Luke finished buttoning up his shirt and walked back into the bathroom.
"Let's see? After your love confession, I suppose the next one is why not?" Tony crawled back under the sheets, already missing the warm embrace of his comforter.
Combing his hair, Luke rolled his eyes, "Because you have an obligation to a company that you are suppose to be in charge of? Because you're a fully grown adult and should be able to look out for themselves?"
"But that didn't cross out my reason!"
"It kind of did."
"Not really. But, my ninth reason is—hey, how often do I stay in bed?" Tony stopped and questioned.
Luke looked closer into the mirror and flipped his hair a bit to lay right, "I don't know, not very often? I think the last time you did this was… 3 years ago?"
Tony shot up, "3 years! See, I don't even stay in my bed that much! Sometimes a boy just has to spurges!"
"No he doesn't," Luke walked back into the bedroom and threw on the navy jacket and adjusted it to fit right.
"You just don't understand because you've never been allowed to have nice things," Tony pouted.
"True enough," Buttoning the rest of the jacket, Luke pulled off his shorts to put on the pants.
"Almost reaching the end," reminded Tony from the bed, his face smug, "I can think about serious things, like life and what happens afterwards."
"That's a load of shit and you know it," Luke stopped mid-knee to glare up at Tony.
"Yeah, but it's a good reason!" Tony retorted, staring back into Luke's eyes, "The next reason is because I have nothing better to do."
Luke buttoned on his pants and walked into the bathroom to finish his morning rotine, "Yes you do. You have work."
"But it's not important. I don't have to show up to work."
"Yes you do. Why would you make a corporate company if you weren't going to handle it?"
"'Cause it was easy," Tony mumbled and watched as Luke walked back into the room, fully dressed and prepared to walk out the door.
"Final reason, make it good," Luke snapped and looked down at him from the side of the bed.
Tony thought for a long moment, trying to muster up a final reason why he should stay in bed before it hit him. He looked at Luke mischievously and grabbed his waist, dragging a fussing Luke into the bed, "'Cause you're in it!"
Tony smiled in Luke's glaring face, as Luke pushed and struggled to get out of his grasp, "Stop that! You didn't convince me! We're getting out of this bed right now!"
"I didn't hear that? What was that? My 'baby sister/lover' said stay in bed because I have a cold? Okay, no problem!" Tony replied happily, pulling Luke into a tight hug.
"I am neither of those things, and I never said stay in bed! Let me go now!" Luke snarled and, if he could, would be foaming from the mouth.
The more Luke struggled, the tighter Tony's grasp got, till Luke could not struggle anymore. Luke took deep breaths, losing breath from the tight hold, "Okay…" Luke gasped out, "You win."
Tony lessened his grip but didn't let go, Luke drinking in the air in giant laps, "Man, why do I let you boss me around again? I could crush you like a mouse."
Luke glared back at him, but didn't struggle, "Because we both know this doesn't happen often."
Tony nuzzled into Luke's neck and Luke started back up his struggle, "Maybe we should make it more of a habit," Tony said, tightening his grip again.
Ah, how cute... Their not gay. I swear...
