"For God's sake, where is she?" Jasper sighed, checking his watch. It was 4.00pm and we were waiting for Rachel to finish getting changed. Everyone had left and it was just everyone going on the trip left in the school building. We'd been given till 4pm to get changed and take everything out our lockers for the trip. I had my pink suitcase and was wearing denim shorts and a halter neck top. Jasper's dark hair was shiny and floppy on his forehead. He had shorts and a blue t-shirt on.
"We're going to be so late!" I muttered, tapping my foot on the floor. "We might as well go."
"Rose, she's your twin?"
"So?"
"Guys, it's four, ready to go meet the rest of them?" Violet grinned, rushing out from the locker room in a pair of jeans and a purple vest top. Her dark hair was tied up in a ponytail. She was followed by Josh and Annie. Josh had his green shirt and shorts on, and was holding a green suitcase. Annie's blonde hair was loose and she was wearing three quarter length trousers, and was clutching a small yellow soft bag.
"We have to wait for Rachel," I sighed.
Everyone groaned.
"She'll be ages!" Annie sighed.
"I heard that!" Rachel yelled from the bathroom.
Jasper sighed and checked his watch again.
"I'll go see what's taking her so long," I muttered, pushing past everyone and storming into the bathroom.
I didn't get very far when I got hit by a hairbrush.
"Get out!"
"Rachel, hurry up, we need-"
"Out, now!"
"Rachel!"
"Get out!"
I raced out of the bathroom before I could get hit by the flying tubes of lip gloss coming my way.
Eventually my sister decided to grace us with her presence. She had very short shorts on and a white vest top with roses up the sides.
"You look nice!" Josh grinned.
I elbowed him in the stomach.
"Ouch, Rose!"
I ignored him and walked through the double doors and up the stairs, down the corridor and through the glass doors to where the group were waiting.
"Where have you been?" Mrs Peterson demanded, glaring at us all.
"Getting changed, miss," I replied, glaring at Rachel. She shrugged at me.
"Oh okay, Miss Johnson, so that's okay then is it? No need to apologise then."
"Oh, sorry Mrs Peterson," I said quickly.
Rachel smirked.
"I'm sorry my sisters a vain idiot."
Mrs Peterson glared at me and Rachel gave me a dirty look.
"Let's take the register now, everyone," Mr Brown called out, and everyone fell silent.
"Roger Brown,"
"Here,"
"Charlie Carlson,"
"Here,"
"Julia Crane,"
"Here,"
"Sarah Daniels,"
"Here,"
"Harriet Foster,"
"Here,"
"Rachel Johnson,"
"Here!" Rachel called out.
"Rose Johnson,"
"Here sir," I shouted.
Eventually they got to the end of the register and everyone stood patiently waiting for the coaches to arrive.
Rachel kept fiddling in her bag and I tried to ignore her, but then she started tipping the entire contents of her bag onto the pavement.
"Rachel, stop it!" I hissed.
"Rose, I've left my phone in the bathroom!" She hissed back.
I stared at her.
"You are such an idiot!"
I turned and gestured for Jasper, Josh, Violet and Annie to come over.
"We need to go get Rachel's phone, she left it in the bathroom because she's a moron! Come on."
"Rachel, you're such an idiot!" Annie groaned, "One sec I'll go tell Mrs Peterson."
"Annie, don't you dare!" I hissed, grabbing her wrist to stop her. "I'm in enough trouble as it is with her! Don't worry; the coaches won't be here for ages!"
We crept back into the school and rushed down the stairs to the girl's bathroom. Rachel dashed in and emerged a minute or two later clutching her precious jewel studded phone.
When we had raced back up the stairs and ran panting into reception, Jasper tried to open one of the glass doors.
"Hurry up Jasper!" I panted, trying to catch my breath.
"I can't, it's locked!" Jasper hissed.
"Shut up Jasper, that's not ever funny!" Josh snarled, pushing him out the way and pulling on the door handle.
"Damn it! It is locked!"
I stared at him. I rushed over to the glass doors and peered through them.
"Rose, what the hell are you doing? You're a girl, so if I can't open them you certainly can't!" Josh sighed at my incompetence.
I glared at him.
"It's not that, it's just, there's no-one waiting outside anymore. They've gone."
