Miles of countryside and splendor separate us
Rivers and mountains stand in our way
Even though the absence is temporary
My arms can feel the vacancy of your presence
Waking up with an eye slightly closed
Hoping to confuse the pillow for you
To see your hair gently tickling me
To feel your heart beating against my wrist
States and borders line the distance
But the moon glows under the same sky
Though I may dance alone tonight
That doesn't mean I'll be by myself
Until I cross the skies again
When the plane touches ground back home
I'll anticipate the very moment
When I'll have you back again
