Maskless Intent
With softly spoken words,
spilled from dry cut lips,
I still reach in this oblivion.
Strings that move towards light,
only to find flames licking the truth,
staining pale translucent color with black holes,
Darkening the flow of water which runs through the mind.
And watching with green emerald eyes,
they feel faithless hope sear to life,
an imagination with empty sense,
Losing thought within the reoccurring mirror.
Here it is,
the vices that continue ever so forth,
beating after ruthless self beating,
perfecting after maskless perfection,
holding up face after smiling face,
breaking glass that was already broken.
Unending senseless wonder passes,
reaching out towards a never ending dream,
"For it's only a dream."
"Only one wish that presides."
Reaching so far with red hands,
out just for this.
Pulling inwards,
tugging outwards,
crying in lonely rejection,
"Here tear this out."
Give without emotion,
"Here are these broken strings"
falling away with soft intent...
This poem is meant to be explained in many different terms. To me it means something significant, but since it has so much imagery in it its hard to find the poems meaning. But I'd like to hear your ideas and thoughts on it so please comment and read ^^
