Confrontation

There are times when a person must cronfront tough choices. The wrong choice is like a stone in the middle of the road that trips a person. The right choice is like kicking the stone out of the way and moving on.

Confrontation

Time and time again,

My feet itch to run.

The voice from my heart,

Ceases to release hold on me,

Rock in the middle of the road,

Do I kick it to the curb?

To kick it to the curb,

No, I refuse to stumble and fall,

For when I hit the ground,

Pieces of me fade.

Do I leave it alone?

To leave it alone,

Yes, I take the spill.

Whoa, not too hasty now!

Pause the situation,

Think it over,

Come back later.

I close my eyes,

With each breath,

The tension fades.
