Soft, crystalline blue,

glittering at the edges.

A promise:

broken.

A life to search for.

...

In this shining cave

no escape can be made.

Only a reflection;

trapped.

Closed in and surrounded.

The lies unfaceable.

A shallow shadow glimpses at ourselves, laughing.

...

Out fears and hates choke.

Heart races as tears slide.

The walls close mindless of boundaries.

Those with the strength to push through:

a soul untouched;

untainted and true.

So rare a gift.

...

Close your eyes and slide away,

no conscious effort to be made here.

Look at what's inside…

A soul, expanding, a growing glow.

Cold reflection flees the fire of strength.

...

Those with the will,

illuminating pale lives.

Shining constant, heart easing contentment.

Shower the white lilies with colour,

warmth

life

Until the tears of an inadequate fear fall for the last time.

...

A defiant eye to those that would have us fall.

A dominant past deserts.

Yesterday is a murky reflection

now, endless plans of possibility.

Jealous shadows would have me crawl

but not today.

...

A soft, burning fire is stoked

…and shaking legs stand.
