Hi! It's Summer Blooms! I wrote this poem in high school while I was in a creative writing club called Write On! The prompt was "It's official"

It's Official

There are many things that are official.
Many of them well known
and many not so much.

It's Official when you graduate from high school
because a diploma is placed in your hands.

It's Official that food is safe
when the FDA approves it.

It's Official that you're bored
when you have the time to spend
on certificate of boredom
that really is quite fake.

It's Official that you're going crazy
when all you can think if demented
stories.

It's Official that you're dead
when you no longer try to live

And It's Official that I'm insane
because who else could think of this?
