He followed me into the dark that night:
He had nothing to say but he listened
very well; eyes to the sky, rolling his
cigarette around and around
his fingers. I can see so clearly now
that I was lost, and I was alone, and I
only ever wanted to be found -
But still, we sighed at the beauty of
the courtyard; we pretended that
moment would go on, forever.
