Red White and Yellow
Author:

Just a really quick poem that I wrote using an age old metaphor but in an inconspicuous way. It probably doesn't belong on here, but maybe somebody can get something from it.

A rose petal falls... it withers
another... it doesn't
each disk plucked from the thorny stem.
all red, but full of contrast.
some happy, but all sad. each petal plucked represents
another tick..
My life ends at twelve.
Watching rose parks from the back of the bus
but the glass ceiling is horizontal.
