Hi! Breeze. I'm here with a new story, based off of a roleplay forum called SnowTop Mountain! I don't own SnowTop mountain - cupidgirl xx [Lily] does. I just thought it'd be fun to write a story about it. So; enjoy the prologue!

Prologue

"Momma, where are we going?" Hlly Hawks looked down at her four year old daughter. Her heart ached a bit.

"We're going to our new life, Kelly," Holly replied softly.

"But, Momma, I wanna go home. I'm tired." As if on cue, Kelly rubbed one of her blue eyes with her free hand. Her small mouth opened in a yawn.

Holly smiled sadly. "Honey, we can't go back."

"Why not, Momma?"

"…" Holly looked away. "It…isn't our home anymore."

The images flashed before the woman's eyes. A fire. The fire that burned her own house down. Her parents' death. The priests, threatening to kill her daughter. Running. All those miles of running…

"Momma?" Kelly tugged on Holly's hand. The woman snapped out of her trance.

"Yes, Dear?"

"Are we there yet?"

Holly hesitated. "…I don't know."

It was true, she didn't. The woman had no plans for the future, only that they would not continue it in the village of fairies (that, contrary to popular belief are the size of average humans – those were pixies) that Holly had grown up in. The priests were very insistent on keeping the blood of every fairy pure. A mixed blood, like Kelly, would not be accepted.

A cold wind made Holly shiver. Where were they now? Even she didn't know. She looked up. In front of her stood a tall, tall mountain. So tall, snow was seen on the top. Lights twinkled through the snow.

Holly blinked. Were there people living on this mountain? Maybe they would accept her and her daughter. There was no time for her to wonder, though. She suddenly ran into a man who had been walking about.

"I'm sorry," Holly apologized. She looked at the man, fearing that he might be a part of the group of people that were keen on ridding the world of mixed bloods such as Kelly.

But he did not strike her across the face. He did not pull out a gun. Instead, he asked, "Oh my God, what are you doing here?!"

"Running away," came the bitter reply.

"From what?"

Holly told the story from beginning to end. The man nodded as she finished.

"You're looking for a place to stay?"

"Yes."

"Well, you can live in SnowTop!"

Holly blinked. "SnowTop?"

"SnowTop Mountain! It's where I've come from." The man paused. "I'm sorry, you don't know my name, do you?"

"I do not."

The man offered his hand. "I'm Mathew Leonards. I'm a tutor up at SnowTop."

"Holly Hawks." Holly shook his hand with her free one. "And this is my daughter Kelly."

"Well, Holly Hawks, Kelly," Leonards began, smiling, "allow me the honor of leading you to your new home at SnowTop."

Holly followed Leonards up the mountain to the town, still holding Kelly's hand. She could already see the new life that she and her daughter would have.

Thanks for reading! Review please.
