Welcome back to MNB: The Monian National Base 1. Happy Saturday everybody! This is chapter 17! Enjoy!

The Infirmary

We took the man to the infirmary to get some answers. Why was the king and the queen wanted us dead? We were about to find out why.

"Thousands of years ago in the island of Isla, a beautiful, humrid princess, Emily Rosevelt was the very first of her species to rebel against her family to help save us," said the man.

"Us?" Sicily was confused.

"Humans," said the man.

"Emily joined the human resistance to help free them, but then a dark prince came in and started a massacre. Enraged, Emily attacked him only to be beaten. Mono, a fellow human gathered all of his friends to fight back and rescue her..."

"So it was like Moses and his followers," Sicily said.

"You may say that yeah," he said.

"Before you finish, I have one question for you and all of the loonies that worship the female, flying spegetti monster. Why in the hell are the rulers after us?" the general was losing patience.

"We overthrew their government, and killed them," said the man.

"Buster, if I may intrude, you say that their were humans in your explanation. Is this some alternate reality or something?" she asked.

"It aught to be," said the general.

"No," I interrupted, "Back in the cave, Tianca had maps of 2XB."

"No way," the general doubted.

"How can you be so sure?" Malika asked.

"Because, I was with him," Niel said, "Ladies and gentlemen, like this injured man you see before you, I'm too am a Monian. And, those maps that Tianca showed us, those are the same maps to what we would depict of Earth."

"What maps?" the general asked.

"These maps," he said pulling out a hologram projector. He activated it and showed a 2 dimensional view of the map of 2XB. The thing was that all of the continents looked almost approximately like the Earth. This shocked the general and Dr. Malika.

"My god," said the general.

"We didn't just went through a tear of time and space..."

"We traveled through time. History had repeated itself," I said.

"It's more than that," said Dr. Malika.

"What you mean?" Niel asked.

"We didn't just travel through time, or an alternate universe," she said.

"Explain," I said.

"Before you left out of the meeting, before all of us left, your data about us traveling through another world was proven not just to be correct, but to be ancient."

"How?" I asked.

"There was a quantum flux in space," she said.

"Impossible," said the general.

"There was a rip in space and time, now I know how this sounds..."

"Sounds pretty stupid and fictitious if you ask me," said Tianca.

"If you just listen for a minute, then you'll grab the concept," she said. "Maybe its better to show you than it is to tell you all," she said pulling out a flash drive she saved and inserting it in a hard drive. We all walked over towards her to see what happened while all of us were sent through an inter-dimensional portal. What we found out seemed to be very difficult for us to comprehend.

"Thousands of years ago over the icy continent of Antarctica, there was a high frequency of radiation over its skies," she said.

"Gamma Rays," I said.

"That what we all thought at first," she said, "but look." On the computer, she clicked the arrow which enables the program to accelerate time slowly, but forward in time. The further we went, the higher the frequency.

"My god," said the general fearfully.

"These aren't just Gamma Rays," I said, "Their too fast to become gammas."

"Then what are they?" Sicily asked.

"I don't know," I said, "I don't know what the hell I'm looking at."

"These electromagnetic rays kept passing through and passing through until our night sky became unstable. Our planet was the source for a portal to be open."

"And you said nothing about this to me before our ship was destroyed?" I asked.

"I'm sorry, John. I had to become precautious. If anyone had this data..."

"...and what? Hundreds, yet even thousands of lives are now dead!" I said angrily.

I stormed out of the infirmary angrily and slammed the door. Sicily ran after me.

In the hallway, I halted.

"John? John, it's not your fault, nor hers, but we can't let this..."

"Shh," I said.

"What?" Sicily said.

"Listen."

We heard large thuds - and then a growl.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Get the gang, we're leaving," I said softly with a frightened tone in my voice.

"What's happening?" she asked now terrified. You can't really tell if she was frightened, but I could tell by the tone of her voice.

"Just go!" I said. I fled as well too until I stepped across a book. As the growl got louder, I picked it up and ran back to the infirmary.

"It's time to go," I said barging in.
