Sonnet: Virtue and Love

Love of mine, let me begin with farewell,

For I fear this may last forever.

As the stars will one day fall from the sky,

As Immortals will one day wither, die.

So too do I fear for this love, love of mine.

Ah, love. Look at me not with such sadness.

I fear not the trials we must oppose.

I fear the trials of our heart and soul.

That we may never with broken wings fly.

That we will let forever pass us by.

That we remember, and ask ourselves… why?

For why do we commit blasphemies

Against the nature of all that is right?

If it is for love, all is well. If not,

Love, fall with me now, away from their sight.
