Sorry for the annoying author's note, but in case any of you quite like my poems, if you follow me on Twitter at rhiannonssongs, I'll be putting some to music and putting them there. Thanks!
I've stood on the harbour as the boats sailed
into the sun's shadow in the sea;
I've wondered where they're going and if we'll meet again,
and now a boat has come for me.
All is silent but for the waves
and the whisper of a warm summer's breeze;
I wonder where I'm going and if we'll meet again,
now that a boat has come for me.
I look back on all that I knew
as gentle waves carry us apart.
Wherever I am going, I won't forget you;
may a star shine on your path.
