Meet me on the corner of wistful and inhibition
I'll be sitting there, back against the rusted street sign
Bent like me. Just sit next to me, have a seat
I might not look your way, but I'll know you're there
The cars will drive by and we'll get splashed
Rain or mud or snow or bits of sunshine
And we'll wait there until the day
When you see a rainbow span the sky
Tap me on the shoulder and direct me upward
While I blink in surprise, stand up and offer me a hand
Take me to the puddles and splash
Remind me what childhood looks like
We'll dance until the sun sets and laugh until our hearts falter
Then look at me for the first time, see me
And capture the rainbows in my eyes
