Leaving

These jitterbugs of nervousness are racing through my veins,

The chapters just about to start

But some things stay the same,

My friends will never leave me,

Although places they may go,

They will never leave my mind,

That's one thing you should know

My scene will be much different,

And some things will be hard,

But getting through the tough times

Is one place I can start

The memories cannot go away,

Such good times we all shared,

But I know that I'll have new ones,

With people here and there

We all make friends,

But do we? We do,

The friends that are the good ones,

The old with all the new.

The crazy ones, the funny ones,

Are always just the same,

People trying to get along,

In this one wide open space
