For having a father as a famous worldwide demon hunter everyone tends to believe I will one day take his place. I love my dad and hunting demons but, doing that all my life and living in other's expectations is not what I want. I want to make my own decisions and create my future.

"Hello! Earth to Aria!"

Other than that, what did that dream mean?

"ARIA!"

"Huh! Wha?"

"Wow! You we're really zoned out! What's on your mind?"

"Uhh, I'll tell you during lunch, we got to get to school."

"Hmm, alright then. Ah, I know, it's about your dad, right?"

"Somewhat. Come on, let's get going."

"Ehh! I say we should skip!"

Anna, she has always been there for me since elementary school. When I needed someone the most when my mom died she was there to help me get through her death. I love her like a sister. We understand one another, I'm glad I met her.

"Did you hear about the demon that butchered a guy to pieces? When they found his body it looked like his soul was sucked right out of him!"

"No. How the hell did you get information on that?"

"My dad's a reporter for the newspaper, duh!"

"Oh, right."

"Didn't your dad tell you? I thought he would since he is the world's best demon hunter and that he would give you the case?"

"Again, no. He didn't come home last night, again."

"He does that a lot doesn't he?"

"Yeah."

"By now you could have lost your virginity by being by yourself a lot!"

"Ok, eww!"

"What?"

"Crap. We got to get to class, come on!"

"I'm coming."

Why does my dad leave me alone a lot? I kind of get lonely and I miss my dad at times. Could my dream have anything to do with my dad? Was he the dark figure?

"Class, I would like to introduce a new student to our class. Please give a warm welcome to Ven Vasquez. I would like a volunteer to give a tour for Mr. Vasquez for the day. Anyone?"

"Wow, I didn't notice this but Sensei is totally wearing a wig! Ha ha!"

'Shh! Anna he might hear you!"

"Ms. Lopez, since you seem too think it's funny I am wearing a wig and being rude to our new student why don't you give him the tour."

"Ehh! But-"

"No buts just do it."

"Thanks Anna!"

"Sorry!"

"So, what we're you going to tell me?"

"Maybe I shouldn't since you got me in trouble!"

"Again, I'm terribly sorry!"

"Give me one of your rice balls and I'll call it even."

"Fine, here."

I told Anna about the dream I had last night and my occurring thought of my dad.

"Wow! No wonder you we're so spaced out. Maybe you should talk to your dad about this."

"Nah! It's probably no big deal."

Its best that I don't tell my dad, he has more important things to think about.

"Yeah, but-"

"Hey. You're Aria, right?"

The new kid.

"Uhh, yeah."

"You kind of owe me a tour."

"Oh, right. Talk to you later Anna."

"Alright."

"What we're you two talking about?"

"That is really none of your business."

"Wow, attitude much?"

"No. I don't know you so why should I tell you."

"True. Heard your dad was a famous demon hunter."

"Yeah. What of it?"

"Just wondering. You good at it?"

"Yeah. Shouldn't I be giving you a tour?"

"Yeah, but I'm not interested in this school, more like I'm interested in you!"

Did he just. . . Out of nowhere I realized he had me up against a wall. When did I get trapped between a wall and him?

"If I we're you I would move out of the way."

"Why? I just want to get to know you more."

Why would he want to get to know me more, we barley met?

"Ven, please get out of my way."

"What will I get in return if I do?"

I had no other choice.

"This!"

I grabbed ahold of his body and dropped kicked him to the ground. Using all the force inside my body to send him a clear message.

"Don't you ever put your face close to mine, ever!"

I ran back to class feeling furious and confused. I didn't tell Anna about the Ven incident things would of gotten bad if I did so I just went home without saying a word.

I got home and started my homework and chores before I have to head for night patrolling. Somehow, I couldn't get those green eyes out of my head. Ven had really freaked me out, but I somehow felt this feeling before. I suddenly hear this bang on the door. I grab my sword on the counter, grabbed ahold of the doorknob, and opened it. My dad falls to the ground. He looked badly beaten up, there was even blood all over him. I dropped my sword and held him.

"Dad!?"
