Back at the time when I
Still could run around with mates
With BB guns in our puny hands
And no worries filling brains
So long ago out of my conscience

I see the old man selling fruits
Of all sorts at the back of his truck
While the ruthless winter sweeps
Away the last surviving warmth

Running wild the boys know no
Limits in the joy, no remorse
In doing whatever inspirited**

Zooming out of the memory lane
I see myself caught out badly
On the cross section of the road

The same footpath I once dwelt
As a king, as a boss, as a thug

All the glory lost and left behind
Fades to nothingness, just empty

Never the same are the steps made
As time goes back only when
When we take out the last
Bullet outta hollow craniums.
