A Modest Proposal

If you are a Christian then I implore you to continue reading. If you are not a Christian, but do enjoy a good debunking of the pompous, high horse riding, hypocritical Christians, then please – continue reading.

After years of theological research and an abundance of first hand knowledge I bring to you my proposal. A modest proposal that will evolutionalize our way of living, through extensive debates and pedantic conversations me and my colleagues have come to a brilliant idea, one that will no doubt go down in history as the most astute proposal ever created.

As you of course know we now live in an age of many religions and denominations but, the one that was of coarse my inspiration was one that would think to change times and laws. These sweet, sweet children of God have opened the door to a whole new world, the idea of changing the Bible. Now I know what your thinking, that such a thing can't be done, but it can, and has been done. The fact that on earth we are all only human and no man is above another, but there's only one time in history that a MAN has been given power and not the kingly kind. But of course you already knew Emperor Justinian was the giver of such power, established 538 A.D.

We'll get back to the history reminder later because such things you of course already know. Now getting rid of one or two commandments was a brilliant idea, but why stop there and be constrained by the other eight. So I propose we get rid of the whole Bible, why pick at bits and pieces if one part is wrong the blasted book as a whole must be erroneous. Now, look at the freedom people can have. Most laws of today originate from the Bible so if you erase every Bible originating law then you could do whatever was convenient for you. You want fifty dollars, just lie and cheat for it. Your married and you really want your friends husband well go for it adultery is out the window. Your boss giving you a hard time, just kill him there's no wrong in that. Why limit yourself with simply forgetting the seventh day Sabbath or worshiping ANY graven images such as a Buddha statue, picture of Mary, the cross, the list goes on. And if any man would even think to cling to the original "HOLY" scriptures let them be "crushed like venomous snakes!" (History of Romanism (1871 ed.), book 6 chapter 5; sec. 62) According to one of my earliest sources, Pope VII.

Of course you are aware of the Bible verse when God says if you are guilty of one commandment then you are guilty of them all. Then getting rid of any would be like treason. Twisting the Bible to your own life style is just like discarding every book and chapter. What's sadder is you worship never knowing who it is you worship or why. Knowledge is a gift, but you would throw it away for bliss. A counterfeit is being made before your eyes, but the lack of scriptural knowledge keeps you blind. This proposal is just as ridiculous as those who would rather cling to tradition instead of to God.
