Author's Note...or in this case Poet's Note- Hi there! Great to know that you are reading this right now. It's been quite a while since I wrote poetry, so my literary skills are a bit in the bin. But I felt compelled to write this piece as I am extremely fond of the story that it creates. Hope you agree with me.
He walked down a silent road,
Broken and deranged, heading towards doom
It was autumn, when leaves coloured golden,
Lay on such paths, numerous and untrodden
She sat alone in a sparse room
With a tired heart and muted gloom
She spoke to beings of supreme perfection
But to the world, she had no connection
Through broken hearts and unspoken words
Brittle lives and different worlds
They crossed each other and stopped to realize
That they had passed the love of their lifetimes
They fought for a love that they couldn't save
They fought a battle they couldn't brave
And fell together in an endless abyss
With nothing but unbroken promises
To be together till the very end
Of the time they had been lent
They still are together
In the land of the unspoken
Holding each other through their misery
In their Inhuman Paradise
Where they will be till eternity
A heart is too angry a creature to appease
It yearns love in places where it won't find any
This tempestuous nature of man sees no end
In a continuous cycle, its hope will break and mend
Till it silences its impertinent voice
And gives into peace, which is softer noise
