Prologue

Off the coast of France, in the early 1810's, the creaky hull of the "Andromeda" swayed back and forth from the relentless churning of the sea. The wooden exterior moaned and groaned from the stormy sea that violently harassed the crew and passengers on board. An adolescent girl named Cerise La'Tro lay on her cot bereft of sleep and sore from her uncomfortable cotton padding on the damp hammock given to her as a passenger. Loose luggage lazily rocked from one side of the wooden hull to the other due to the constant rocky motions of the ship. however unknown to anyone aboard forces beyond control or comprehension were gathering, waiting to finally be released from their slumber.
