| Canon in D Major
Author: Secretmuch This may not make much sense. I was listening to Canon in D Major by Pachelbel and just started writing. I wonder if anyone thinks the same way about it as I do...

Lost
Dizzying
Then a chord springs music to life
Higher till the heavens but still held down by weights of years
A viola spins and falls away
Spinning fairies
Love blooms
Blowing my mind
Full rich like so much cake
Now happy and twirling off into the ether
High carefree
Now happier music comes but subdued
Never again as high as before but with promises of joy
Laughing children brought to mind
Feet wanting to dance through dizzying curtains
Curtsey to your partner
Sad melancholy tones; wistful and saddened as if wishing something else was here
Still a childish hope springs through
High and shrill violins leaning in vain wishing times of joy
Newly matured and mellowing but still hoping
Die away on a major chord
