18th September
For General Studies today we had a lecture from a politician from the House of Lords and it was him basically saying why he's against the EU and why he thinks Britain should pull out of it. Suffice it to say, he was very set in his views. When it came to question time, a girl put her hand up and asked, "If you're against the EU, why do you have a German car?"
There was applause and a general feeling that the guy had just been absolutely rinsed. This one guy in our year kept putting his hand up and asking tough questions which were borderline rude and the politician eventually got fed up and refused to answer his questions. And then one guy just came out with, "So what are your views on gay marriage?"
There were a lot of face-palms.
But it was rather funny hour.
An intense packing session is going down tonight to try and cram everything into my suitcase for America.
All I can say is that I'm damn nervous.
