Dear Diary

Well Robyn won the debate, by telling us that the cliffs would be safe. I was really not convinced.

We began an early walk to get ahead of the boiling sun because the days seemed to be getting hotter as we finally move into spring and summer.

Once everyone had waked up, it was straight away walking but I was still half asleep! Halfway there, I was walking my eyes half closed!

Callum came and supported me when I had fallen over twice! It was quite nice, even though Callum didn't speak, well he won't will he? I was left to my own thoughts.

How many days will it be until this island turns us crazy? I don't know if it's this diary or my friends keeping me sane.

I need this diary just to consult the days of the week!

I must have waked up properly when we reached the tall imposing cliffs. They began to get steeper rising into what looked like it should be a mountain. The atmosphere was so tense!

I was afraid of getting up because what if one of us had fallen to our death?

Robyn led the expedition with delight pointing at the different rock formations. A small sense of dread began to creep up my spine; there was danger approaching and fast.

After about five minutes, I was still on edge; this danger had got even closer.

A grown from over the edge of some rocks caused everyone to freeze. My eyes widened in terror as two huge paws began to climb and a powerful creature emerged.

Its mane was a strange grey colour but there was no mistaking that this was a Lion although slightly smaller than it's African counterparts.

"Run" I shouted. Everybody screamed as they all ran in different directions.

I went off to the left, panting.

I ran, trying to find anywhere I could hide. Eventually I saw a small opening to what looked like a cave so I squeezed though.

This cave astounding when I walked in. The walls were glittering in all sorts of different rocks. Water ran off dripping as I made my way further into the cave.

I came out into a wide space. The walls were still glittering even more now because the walls had got wider.

I thought the surroundings were beautiful before I realized that, the other where were they?

I had run off in such a panic that I never checked for anyone else running behind me.

I'm still in the cave, hiding because what if that Lion comes back? I'm going to sleep here tonight and try to find my back in the morning; well at night I'm not sure it's going to be safe.

Wherever the others are, I hope they are ok.
