This is a poem I wrote for school that's really similar to George Ella Lyon's famous poem Where I'm From. It just tells some memories from my life. Enjoy! :

Sweet Tea and Daydreams

I'm from teas of all varieties,
And new glasses.

I'm from the Beach House at Christmas
And dressing up for church.

I'm from moving near and far,
And lots of fruit.

I'm from "We got a dog!"
And "Is Daddy coming back soon?"

I'm from my grandma's homemade fudge,
And summers in New Jersey.

I'm from "Put that book away!"
And "Did you brush your teeth?"

I'm from new schools,
And watching Monk with my cousin over a cup of tea.

I'm from reading and reading and reading,
And endless daydreams.

Important Note! When it says "Will Daddy be back soon" it DOES NOT mean that he walked out on us! It's talking about when he was deployed overseas in the Army!
