She continues to ignore me as if we never met.
But that's not the case. I live a couple of houses away from her... so of course I see her on a daily basis. We used to talk on the phone until three hours past midnight and make plans with each other every weekend.
Now, she claims she's busy, but she won't even spare me a glance. I miss her, and I never really knew what she meant to me until I lost her. I guess that's how everything in life works.
I still try to make conversation with her as see her on her way to work but she either makes an excuse to leave or says a couple of words to me and disappears. I call her but she never picks up. Occasionally, I would see her with teary eyes and crying as she runs down the streets. It is only then that I leave her alone.
Otherwise, I would try to get her to talk to me.
In any case, I'll keep trying. I don't know what I did to offend her, but the looks I'm receiving from her are strange and different. She used to look at me cheerfully with a bright smile; now, I can tell that whenever she does look at me, it is with irritation and annoyance.
I cannot tell what I did wrong, but I intend to find out.
This could be left as a one-shot, but this is one of the few times where I'd take my readers' suggestions as to whether or not I should continue it.
