Britney and the other women entered the room where Alice Sox was still being treated. As they could see, she still hadn't regained consciousness; indeed, there were fears that she never would. Looking over the nearby status reading, Britney could see the flashing red areas indicating which of Alice's parts hadn't survived her prolonged overload.

"Give it to me straight," said Britney. "Is there really no chance we can safely move her right now?"

"None," Irene replied. "In fact, if I may confess something, when she got here our readings told us she was dead. No more, ceased to be. The only reason we bothered to hook up the support systems was that it was standard procedure. Well, that's the last time I make fun of the rulebook."

"You're saying she absolutely cannot survive on her own right now?"

Irene sighed. "Not only that, but I'm getting no indication that she's ever going to truly come back to us. With all due respect, that heroic moment of yours may have all been for nothing."

"I'm sorry, but I just can't believe that."

"Enemy troops are on their way here right now," said Faith, who was reading a security monitor. "I get the feeling they're coming to finish what they started. That, and deal with whatever business they have with us."

"Looks like we have no choice but to risk it," said Britney.

"I already told you," Irene protested, "if we disconnect Alice –"

"I have that covered," Faith said.

"What do you mean, you 'have it covered'?"

"Trust me." As Faith walked over, she was briefly enveloped in a white light. When that was over, she was wearing what appeared to be a sheath-style wedding dress.

"Is this what happened to you and Dayna?" Irene asked Britney.

"Something like that," said Britney.

Faith laid her hands upon Alice, who then began glowing with white energy. As this was happening, the readout show something strange; Alice's systems were rapidly repairing themselves, and the parts that had been destroyed were regenerating.

"Since when could you do that!?" Irene demanded.

"Since just now," Faith said, "Believe me, this is just as much a surprise to me as is it to anyone else."

Soon, Alice's status was indicated as fully repaired. Moments later, she opened her eyes.

"I guess I'm finally awake," Alice said. "How long was I here?"

"No time to explain," Britney said. "Irene, take her and get to whatever shelter her husband's in right now. We'll hold off the enemy as long as we can."

"But –" Irene began to protest.

"Go! Now!" The tone in Britney's voice left no further room for argument.

"Can you move around?" Irene asked Alice.

"Well," Alice said, "I'm not all that sure."

"Never mind." Irene picked up Alice, who was still wearing that dress of hers, and ran out a door toward the Prime Minister's shelter.

"I sure hope they're alright," said Heather.

"You should worry about us instead, Heather!" said Dayna.

Just then, from another door, the enemy troops came spilling out.

"Terminate the Silhouette Women!" the enemy commander ordered.
