I don't know how she did it. Somehow, she made a lime green cardigan as intimidating as a knife. It was intentional. I could tell. She was just smart like that. The first chapter is JUST a prologue. The chapters will get longer. Previously called 'Currently Untitled'- Just because I couldn't think of a title. ON HIATUS

Whelp! it's been a while. Hope you enjoy =3
With a note and a 'Get well!' for the nurse, I was free to wonder home, to rest. I started down the pavement, which seemed to bubble with heat. The sun shone against a cerulean sky. White fluffy clouds moved lazily across the expanse of endless blue. Shadows were few in number and short in size. Mine clung closely to my body, dancing across the pavement, mirroring my actions.
A slight breeze made me look up. The type of breeze, where you stand still and silent, basking in the welcoming escape for the heat, feeling it spread across your skin and brush at your hair. A small rock jumped into my path, making my ankle twist and causing me to fall heavily, my hips and thighs connecting with the burning ground. Black shoes walked quickly past me, as I laid on the floor counting pieces of litter dotted across the pavement.
"Are you okay?" The voice seemed reluctant and slightly angry, as if I had interrupted something. I rolled onto my back and found a tanned hand shoved in my faced. I pushed it away and stood up, brushing off small pieces of rubble. I glanced up into the face of a handsome young man. His two eyebrow rings were safety pins and his lips were adorned with 'metal screw' like snakebites. In his ear was a zipper stud and in the other was what looked like a computer chip, but was actually a stud.
"Um." I said, fading off in my lack of interest.
"...Well?" He spat, clearly aggravated.
"Y-yeah! I'm fine." I stuttered.
"No you're not. You've got a cut on your face."
"I fall over a lot. It's fine."
"Whatever." He said, shrugging his shoulders and walking off. I turned and started down the street, before feeling the weight of someone's arm along my shoulders. I looked up in to the face of the guy with the safety pin eyebrows; except he didn't have safety pin eyebrows.
"Hey."
"Hi." I replied in confusion.
"I'm Pete."
"Are you now?"
"Nope. The name's Ty. It's nice to meet you."
"I just saw you."
"Nah. You saw Kar. My twin." He smiled, showing off his straight white teeth. "You didn't even look at me."
"Oh. Wait! You were there the whole time?" My face pulled into a confused frown. I fiddled with the button on my cardigan, but stopped when I felt his large hand clasp over my own.
"You'll pull it off." He explained, shrugging easily. "And yeah. I was there the whole time, which by the way reminds me... What's your name?"
"Erm. Tobie." I replied "H-how? You weren't there. I didn't see you at all!" I shouted.
"Ah. You see- I have this knack for making myself invisible. I mean- I don't actually go invisible. 'Cuz, y'know, that's impossible. Nah, I'm a cloak."
"Right." I said, nodding as if I knew what he was going on about.
"Tobie?" I nodded. "Tobie. You're coming with me. There's this awesome cafe down the street and I'm taking you there. My treat."
"What! No. I need to do my homework." And you're a stranger,I muttered in my head.
"I thought- you should be in school!" He exclaimed, contemplatively. "Ah, well. So should I, but what d'ya know?" He shrugged for about the fourth time, and slid a hand around my arm, tugging me down the road.
"Who's this, Ty?" I glanced around the cafe that I stood in. Large round tables were dotted around the room, surrounded by comfortable looking royal blue chairs. Spread across the walls, were various pictures that seemed to be taken by home cameras. Celebrity faces were plastered behind frames, as well as, anime fan art. A beautiful painting of a winged demon was placed in the middle of the wall. Its basic body shape was made up of black ink, while its flesh was painted in delicate watercolours. Its wings spread behind it in a huge sweeping arch, the detail intricate and plentiful.
"It's great, isn't it?"
"Yeah." I breathed, my cheeks darkening in admiration. My body seemed to gravitate towards the painting. And I trailed my fingers, gently down the paint firmed canvas.
"Who's this, Ty?" The voice impatiently repeated.
"This cafe's great." I said, to no one in particular.
"I know, right." He replied, with a blinding smile.
"Who's this, Ty! Ty! Who. Is. This?" Finally realising that someone was talking to him, Ty grinned at the tall brunette in front of us.
"Oh. Hey, Rina. When'd you get here?" I squinted incredulously at him. His shoulders were about to shrug, before I reached up and placed a hand to stop them from moving. The girl's eyes flashed to his shoulder.
"Now that I've got your attention. Who's this Ty?"
"Tobie." I reply. "He kidnapped me and brought me here. I'm supposed to be doing homework but this idiot here, dragged me away." Her mouth lined into a faint scowl, eyebrows furrowing and lips puckering slightly.
"Yeah." She replied, shortly. "He does that a lot." Her voice was hard, a far cry for the sugary voice that she talked to Ty with.
"Well, I suppose, since I'm here... Is there anything good to eat here?"
"Yeah! You should try the pizza biscuits. They're so good." Shouted Ty.
"They're really sweet." Rina cut in, her face free of its smile as she stared at Ty.
"That's okay. I like sweet things."
"Well. Isn't that nice."
"Erm. Yeah?"
I had a feeling she didn't like me.
Please review! I didn't realise how easy it is on the computer, as I read stories on my phone. But on the computer, it's so much easier.
Song: "Newton Faulkner- Dream Catch Me"
Man! I love that song.
